Downhere's new album came out this past week.  This is a CCM band I actually like! There music is always simple, well written, and above all Christ centered.  This is a live in studio recording of "How Many Kings."  Great song!

Finally got around to downloading Amos Lee's new album, "Last Days at the Lodge."  Very tasty! Here is my favorite song from the CD, "Whats Been Going On" recorded live in Atlanta.

Jack Johnson's new Sleeping through the Static remix album is a treat for any and all Jack Johnson fans! My favorite cut on both the studio and remix release is "If I had Eyes" performed here at the Kokua Festival.

I have been plugging the Remedy Club Tour Album by the David Crowder Band for a while.  Its got all the great DCB songs cut live on a recent tour.  The album comes with videos much like the one below.

One of my favorite albums...

I have been working hard at redeeming my commute from the house to the office.  I get about 25 minutes each way, every day.  During my drive I have been trying to talk less on the phone and listen to less talk radio

(especially to afternoon sports talk radio because I cannot stand Razorback Football call in shows because they all sound like this...Talk Show Host: "Next called is Bubba from Hole-in-the-Wall, Arkansas." Caller: "Uh yes I have one questions then I am gonna hang up and listen." Talk Show Host: "Go ahead Bubba." Caller: "OK, thanks, can you tell me what happened to the Razorback recruit who they brought in three years ago at tight end.  I haven't seen much of him since spring practice where he came up limping during a sled drill.  Just wondering cause he seemed like he was going to be special.  OK I am just gonna hang up and listen now."  Talk Show Host: Well you are thinking of Bobby Jo Daniels out of Deer Lick Creek High School.  He has struggled in the weight room and with the books so don't expect to see much of him."  Well you get the picture, rant over!)

With 50 minutes everyday I spend time memorizing scripture, listening to sermons on my iPod, and listening to worship.  Its a great way to extend my quiet times and personal worship. I highly recommend using your commute it whether it be 25 minutes or 2.5 minutes to engage God through scritpure, teaching, prayer, or worship.

Today I was craving some hymns and I pulled up Hymns: Ancient and Modern by some of the Passion Artists on the iPod.  This is one of those albums to me that never gets old.  I am always uplifted listening to David Crowder sing, "All Creatures of our God and King."  I commend this album to your ears!
